The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques inaugurated King Faisal Airbase
Under auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz, King Faisal Naval Base was opened in Jeddah in 24/11/1404H. The base contains public facilities of all kinds to include mosques, schools housing, market places and others. It also contains recreation facilities such as clubs, swimming pools and playgrounds.

In 6/9/1403H, the Royal Decree No. 98 was issued to establish King Fahd Naval Base. The preparation process started accordingly to open that edifice which was assigned to qualify high caliber and skilled navy officers based on our Islamic creed.
In 1/8/1405H, HRH Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz gave his directive No. 1/1/3/373 to commence the study and open the college.

RSNF School
In 14/2/1400H schools were formed under the name (Institute of Naval Technical Studies) to conduct specialized courses on the navy equipment and systems of the Upgrade Project. In 3/1/1401H, the institute was renamed The RSLF Schools upon approval of HRH the Second Deputy Premier Minister of Defense and Aviation No. 515/1/2 dated 1/3/1401H.

Goals of the RSNF Schools
To develop human resource (officers and NCOs) for the land forces specializations like combat, technical, logistics and administrative specializations and develop and upgrade training curriculums and educational media. This is in addition to strong profound relations and connections with sister and friend countries by giving training opportunities to personnel from those countries, and to implement the principles and basics of military technology transfer and possession.

The RSNF Command is continuously upgrading study and training curriculums for the RSNF Institute for Technical Studies as well as upgrading the educational facilities and housings to cope up with the overall modernization of our beloved country in general and the Saudi Armed Forces in particular. In 7/7/1416H the Institute of Naval Technical Studies was renamed to RSNF Institute for Technical Studies in which a large number of classes were graduated and had effective participation in the development of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces.
